We got a third guy back today, but Juan, the foreman, is apparently on to another job. Today was soil amendment day. The guys mixed some stuff into our dry clay soil that will hopefully make it more conducive to growing stuff other than weeds. More sprinklers were installed. We thought the work on irrigation was finished, but apparently not. The contractor came to discuss plants. We walked around the neighborhood and he pointed out different plants that other people have, sometimes remarking on their choices. Since we had not planned in detail exactly what varieties of small plants we wanted, we left it up to him to put in whatever he thought would look nice and do well.
