Tuesday April 25
By 8:30 a.m. no one had arrived. We were wondering what was up when the
contractor called and asked if anything was going on at our house and that he
had heard there was trouble and the police were in front of the house. Randy
asked Jeff, who had just been looking out the front window if the police were
outside, and told the contractor nobody at all was at our house, including the
police. Evidently the contractor had gotten a phone call from the wife of one
of the workmen saying there was trouble and the police were out front, but she
must have meant in front of their house, because otherwise how would she
know? So we do not know what the problem with the workmen was or why the police
were involved, but the workers did arrive around 9:30 a.m. By the end of the
day, all the drainage pipes had been laid and most of the trenches for them had
been covered so you would never know they were dug.
