The contractor and workers were scheduled to arrive between 7 and 8 a.m. and start doing preparatory work, but the contractor would not need to speak to us until around 10:30 which was good because we do not get up too early. At 7:24 someone rang the doorbell. Jeff heard it and decided to ignore it, but Randy slept through it. The workers started their work. The contractor came back at about 11:30 and we went over the plans and he painted on the ground where we wanted things to go. Except the patio. The workers had already put up the framing for the patio and it looked good. By the end of the day in addition to the frame for the patio, the frames for some of the paths were done and trenches for irrigation and drainage had been made, with some pipe laid.
