You can pretty much get phones these days in any shape hamburgers, shoes, footballs, ducks that quack, etc. Usually these are cute but they are not really good phones. They are made with cheap electronics that buzz and hum, or jingle when someone dials from another extension due to not having "anti-tinkle" circuitry. Consequently I don't make a point of collecting phones made of molded plastic shaped like different things, although I do have a few. There is one novelty phone, however, I have on display because I consider it unique.
This teddy bear phone, by YoungTel is pretty neat. It is a speaker phone with the speaker, on/off switch, volume control, and pushbuttons in the bear's tummy. But even better is that as the distant party speaks, the bear reacts by moving his ears, eyes, and mouth to the rhythm of the speech, as if he were the one speaking. It can be pretty entertaining to carry on a conversation with a talking bear that sounds like one of your relatives! Unfortunately, this is from the early 80s, and the quality of the electronics is not great, so the bear is not as responsive as I'd like. Basically he will only move his parts if there is a sudden transition from speech to quiet or vice/versa. In normal conversation flow, he barely moves. But I think his sailor suit is adorable anyway!
